Objectives of the ASEAN Neurosurgical Society
The ASEAN Neurosurgical Society is a non-governmental civil society organisation (CSO) registered with ASEAN and the WHO. It was founded in 1972 by neurosurgeons from the ASEAN countries with the following objectives:
- To provide a forum for professional exchange among NEUROSURGEONS within ASEAN
- To promote social contact and foster friendship among its members
- To uphold good professional practice and promote the advancement of Neurosurgery
- To complement the efforts of the ASEAN governments in promoting regional co-operation and solidarity in the areas of medical education and health care, and to exercise whatever functions as may be entrusted to THE ASEAN NEUROSURGICAL SOCIETY.
